I feel that our method is superior for the following reasons:
- We excavate all the way down to your existing drain tile
- We inspect the tile and replace if needed
- We clean the wall and Patch all cracks
- If the wall is bowed in we jack it back into place
- We waterproof the wall with a TRUE rubber membrane that is heated and spray applied
- We install protective insulation board over the waterproofing
- We backfill with crushed limestone up to 16" below grade
- We then backfill the remainder with dirt to a rough final grade

Excavating down to drain tile is very important. If the tile is clogged it needs to be replaced. Proper drainage is THE most important part of a superior waterproofing job.

Next in importance is a superior waterproofing system. We use Watchdog rubber membrane waterproofing material.

Protecting the waterproofing material and insulating the basement wall is also very important. We use foam board that is treated with an insecticide .
|
Backfilling with as much stone as possible lets water seep to the drain tile quickly, instead of saturating the earth around the basement wall causing hydrostatic pressure that causes the wall to bow inwards.
